La Vecindad & Casa El Desayuno: Unidos Por Los Niños — Christmas Toy Drive 2025
Every December, our community shows what makes East Las Vegas special: generosity, unity, and genuine care for one another. This year, La Vecindad and Casa El Desayuno are coming together once again to host a Christmas Toy Drive created for our families, by our families.
Whether you’ve lived here for years or recently joined the neighborhood, you’re invited to take part in an afternoon dedicated to joy, gratitude, and togetherness.
What Is Happening on December 20?
On Saturday, December 20, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, La Vecindad and Casa El Desayuno will host a community toy giveaway at the East Las Vegas Community Center. Families with children under 10 years old are invited to come and receive a free Christmas toy.
In addition to the toy drive, Square will be donating 600 food baskets to help support families during a season that can be financially difficult. What started as a simple effort from just 12 people wanting to give back has grown into a meaningful annual tradition that now reaches hundreds of families.
